Get Inspired! is a project based at Oxford University that aims to encourage talented students and recent graduates, particularly from disadvantaged regions, to realize their full potential and go study at leading universities abroad.

Students and recent graduates, particularly those in less privileged regions, face with a lack of information about possibilities to study abroad. In fact, even the best students seldom have enough self-confidence to apply to the top universities and need inspiration to realize what a life-changing experience studies abroad may be and how feasible this goal is in reality.

Our objective is to launch workshops run by Oxford students at Eastern European universities, which provide information about the application process and funding opportunities at foreign leading educational institutions. We intend to share our personal experiences by being role models to encourage talented students to realize their full potential. The expected result of this pilot project is an increase in the number and quality of applications from Eastern Europe to universities abroad.

By inspiring Students to study abroad, we believe that on completion of their educational programmes, these students will be able to make a long-term contribution to the further development of their countries.

Innovation

The innovative nature of the project is reflected in our mission - students run workshops and presentations for students. We are delighted to share our own experiences to demonstrate that these educational possibilities are open to everyone. The workshops and subsequent Q&A sessions give a chance to students to ask questions regarding studies abroad in an informal setting. All this provides us with good opportunities to motivate and stimulate the students in person. We intend to be role models by sharing our personal experience and encouraging talented students to realize their full potential. We strive to help young people to articulate their dreams, develop a clear vision of their aspirations and get self-motivated for further personal growth.
